The city of London has held the 2012 Olympics & Paralympics which attracted millions of people from all around the world to come to London and enjoy the games. Everyone knows London is a highly popular place, not only for people from other countries but also in the media. London is well known for its tourist attractions, such as Big Ben, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and its latest attraction to be opened in February 2013, The View from the Shard. It is going to be one of the tallest buildings in Western Europe which has been designed by architect Renzo Piano. It will be one of the most popular attractions in London once opened. Although London is a great place for tourists, you also need to know why it’s a great place for the people that live here.
A day out in London
No day out in London is complete without a visit to the pub!

There are hundreds of nightclubs for young adults to go and enjoy themselves. The most popular place to go to is Central London where you will find all sorts of different types of music. Leicester Square being the main place where young adults go, there are clubs such as Penthouse, Rainforest, Sound, Oxygen, Bar Salsa and many, many more. Here you will hear different styles of music such as Hip-Hop, House, Underground, Dancehall, Latin and chart hits. As these clubs are in the centre of London, admissions and drinks may be expensive but there are always promoters around to get you in for half the price.

As London is very multicultural, different cultures will have an influence on the places you go to eat and drink. If you want a more relaxing day, then why not go to Kingston Riverside which is located in the county of Surrey. The Riverside is a very peaceful place where you could relax, read a book, talk with friends and enjoy the atmosphere. If you get bored of too much relaxation then Kingston’s Rotunda is just around the corner. It has a cinema, bowling alley with a bar and many restaurants.
There are a lot of things you can do all around London apart from just sightseeing and visiting tourist attractions. London is a very diverse city which has lots to offer. So enjoy your day out!
