Cleverly synthesising classical and contemporary French cuisine, Goosefoot tempts you with dishes such as butter-poached lobster, miatake mushrooms or Hubbard squash, all served amidst graceful ddcor that incorporates art sculptures and gold-coloured banquettes. This bring-your-own-wine restaurant is reasonably small and fairly quiet, beautifully at odds with what most contemporary restaurant owners are doing these days.

Asian small plates do not come tastier or more tempting than those served by chef Mattias Merges in Yusho. Taking inspiration from Osakan street food, Merges serves creative dishes such as duck confit takoyaki balls where he exchanges the traditional octopus for duck, or for the veggie lovers amongst his customers there are creative delights such as skewer threaded leeks. If neither of those tempt you, try the Kanzuri dipping sauce with double fried chicken. You won’t go home hungry.
